Home!

We were able to come home this afternoon! (YAY!) Grace slept very well last night (with mommy) and daddy was just across the room in another hospital bed. Grace continued to receive breathing treatments and an additional steroid treatment throughout the evening and night. Her breathing improved tremendously. She is still very worn out from all of this...but is gradually getting back to the happy and healthy little Gracie that she is!

Hospital Stay :(

Grace was admitted into the hospital this afternoon. She has a bad bad case of croup. This all started Saturday with just a tiny bit of a fever. Sunday she woke up with a bark-like cough, no appetite, and she just wasn't her normal chipper self. Tylenol seemed to kick in, she was up to eating breakfast, and we made it to church! Grace did just great in church- just a little more sleepy than usual.

Yesterday afternoon Grace spiked 103 fever and slept most of the day away. Her breathing started to seem more labored throughout the night and was even worse this morning. We found a doctor for Grace and brought her in. After the doctor's evaluation, a breathing treatment, and an oxygen level that wasn't quite up to par, Grace was admitted into the hospital.

We've been here since about 1:00 this afternoon. They took x-rays of Grace's lungs...which showed a tiny collapse in her lungs, but nothing to be concerned about. Grace was given more breathing treatments...finally after the 3rd one and a steroid treatment...we could see a noticeable difference in Grace's breathing. (Praise the Lord!)

This evening Grace was starting to get her appetite back, was drinking more fluids, and was even in the mood to play for a bit! :) We'll see the doctor tomorrow morning...and hope that all will continue to go well...so we can all go home!

Four Months to Go!

Baby is growing wonderfully...and is quite the active little one! Here's the baby's little feet! (on a split screen:)
We decided to leave the gender of the baby a surprise...just as we did for Grace! After discussing things with our doctor...we decided the best and safest choice was to deliver this baby by c-section. The c-section has already been scheduled and baby Larson is due to arrive on Monday, November 23rd. (Unless he or she decides to come earlier!)

New Pool!

Daddy set up Grace's new pool in our backyard today. Grace had so much fun...and it didn't even have water in it yet! :)

Ordination Day!

Dave's Ordination and Installation Day was absolutely wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better day! We loved spending the day with our family and friends. We felt so welcomed by our new congregation. Here are a few pictures from the special day...
